What is the Coalition on Family Caregiving? We are a group of community based organizations, health care providers and others, working with a common mission to provide family caregivers in our community with a link to vital services and support. As advocates for family caregivers, we bring relevant issues into public forum.  We also support and provide free educational programs on topics of vital interest to caregivers and their families. Our caregiver support focuses primarily in and around the Union County New Jersey area.

Membership

Dear prospective members:

We would like to formally invite and welcome you to join the Coalition on Family Caregiving.
The Coalition on Family Caregiving was formed in 2003 as an outgrowth of the Overlook Palliative Care Advisory Group.  It is made up of community-based organizations, businesses and individuals whose mission is to assist family caregivers by offering support, education and information on resources and services. Our comprehensive resource and referral network is available to the consumer and their families at no cost.

In 2011, the Coalition has a renewed focus to serve the caregivers in the community as well as partner directly with the staff at Overlook Hospital on key projects related to this mission. The goal of our community initiatives are to educate and inform.

If you are interested in joining, or have input on how the Coalition can serve your community better - Please email us at info@cfcares.org. We meet the third Wednesday of every month of the month at 9AM at Overlook Hospital. We would love for you to join us.

Sincerely,

Kevin McClarren
