What is the Coalition on Family Caregiving? We are a group of community based organizations, health care providers and others, working with a common mission to provide family caregivers in our community with a link to vital services and support. As advocates for family caregivers, we bring relevant issues into public forum.  We also support and provide free educational programs on topics of vital interest to caregivers and their families. Our caregiver support focuses primarily in and around the Union County New Jersey area.

How to get involved

Did you know there are about 52 million family caregivers in the United States and that family caregivers provide two thirds of all the home care services in this country? Caring for an aging family member or chronically ill loved one while juggling family responsibilities and work life can be an overwhelming and daunting task.

The Coalition on Family Caregiving is here to help. We are a group of organizations and individuals working with a common goal of providing family caregivers in our community with a link to vital services and support. The Coalition is a comprehensive resource and referral network, and is available to families at no cost. Our members are committed to making a difference in the caregiver community.

We are familiar with, and sensitive to the unique needs and concerns of family caregivers. As advocates for family caregivers, we bring relevant issues into a public forum. In addition, throughout the year we offer free educational programs on topics of vital interest to caregivers and their families, as well as information on finding local caregiver support groups.

Whether you need to find an assisted living community for your loved one, want to learn more about home care, or wish to locate an elder law attorney who can help with legal issues, the Coalition can lead you in the right direction. Please send an email to info@cfcares.org or visit our website at www.cfcares.org for more information.
